Celebrity anchored in Santorini
4/9 after sunset
Mount Etna, viewed from the gas station. Most of the time the top is misty, this is considered a clear shot.
Album: Celebrity Reflection

Celebrity Reflection is the biggest we have been to and certainly one of the best. Unfortunately there were only 2 sea days in the entire cruise and we didn't have time to try out many activities and food (the burgers!) In all,  the ship, the food and the services did not disappoint!

Album: The Sun and the Sea

Many fellow photographers complained that when taking cruises they could not take the sunset photos at the ports of call because they had to get back to the ship early. To me, viewing the sunset from the ship in the middle of the sea was another amazing experience that was totally different ---  surely it's a kinda Magic!

Album: Ports of Call - Messina, Mt. Etna & Taormina

Messina was the first port of call in our trip; it was also the first time I set foot in Sicily and also the first time I climbed an active volcano. In fact it is the largest in Europe... boy, aren't you excited?

What we got at the end was a crater that even the old people can climb and finish in minutes, and also a beautiful medieval town if not spoilt by the heavy rain storm...

Album: Ports of Call - Piraeus

If you have been to the Greek Islands before, chances are that you have been to Piraeus already. It is the largest port in Greece and also one of the most important in the Mediterranean. There are no wonderful sights here nor are there any amazing landscape, but if your ship is stopping by, and that you have been to Athens many times already, then why not give this Greek city a try? Who knows? You might see things you haven't seen before...

The famous Library of Celsius was Built in 117 A.D. It was a monumental tomb for Gaius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, the governor of the province of Asia. Its capacity was more than 12k scrolls and was the 3rd largest library then
The arched bridge connects the Inn of Provence (left) to the Inn of Spain (right)
This is another popular photo point. See the church on the right? we would go there next...
Finally there! the landmark of Mykonos... This place is a must-see and is also the best for watching sunset!
Album: Ports of Call - Kusadasi

A one day private tour to see the House of Virgin Mary, Ephesus, as well as the wine village of Sirince. This was the only port we stopped in Turkey, and yes, I really missed Turkey (mainly for the cheap prices and their hospitality!) and did I forget to mention their cats as well?!

Album: Ports of Call - Rhodes

First time to this Greek Island which I have longed to see before. It is the island where the Knights of St. John occupied and built a Medieval walled city before driven out by the Ottoman Turks, as well as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - the Colossus of Rhodes, which was a gigantic statue of Helios the Sun God that stood at the entrance of the harbour before toppled by the earthquake at 227 BC.

Album: Ports of Call - Santorini

This was my third visit to this beautiful island, but this time I came by a cruise ship. Like all cruise stops, there wasn't much time for you to go sightseeing and you really shouldn't, as Santorini is a place for you to relax and enjoy the breath-taking view of the famous white houses as well as the sapphire-coloured Aegean Sea. If you would join a Mediterranean cruise in future, Santorini is the one port your shouldn't miss!

Album: Ports of Call - Mykonos

Yet another visit to Mykonos. This time there was no time for any of the beautiful beaches but rather spent the time to stroll around (technically meant getting lost) inside the mazelike alleyways of Hora. Yes this is my 4th times here and I still got lost inside this beautiful town of Mykonos!

P.S. This time I could not find Pedro the Pelican(s)... I really miss them!

View of Sorrento
This is a new statue called 'The Kiss' at the port near the beach. This is built on the famous photo when the Americans in New York heard that the WWII was over!
Fettucine alla Bolognaise... sour!
Album: Ports of Call - Naples, Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast

The port of call was in Naples but what we really visited was Pompei and the Amalfi Coast along the scenic drive of SS163. There was so much to see in Amalfi Coast that we spent (or drove?) a full day here and only visited Positano and Ravello. This is not just about the breath-taking views, but each town itself is so unique and full of character.

This is definitely on my redo list and some day I would wish to return to visit Capri's famous Blue Grotto as well!

Album: Ports of Call - Civitavecchia

This is the beginning and the end. Civitavecchia is the Port of Call for Rome, many visitors just passed through this port and went straight to either the ships or to the train station to Rome. In fact there was not much to see here especially in the afternoon after all the crowds have disappeared, we felt like we were walking in a ghost town.

Album: St. Peter's Basilica

The center of the Roman Catholic faith, St. Peter's Basilica draws pilgrims from all over the world. It doesn't matter whether you are a believer or not, the sheer size, the art works and the architecture will make you awe and wonder.

Album: Roaming about, before and after

This is the miscellaneous album that showed what happened before and after the cruise, er...which was really nothing interesting... except the local pasta was not something we had expected...
